Eliana Betancur

Senior UX Engineer growing into design leadership. I turn design decisions into products teams can build on.

I sit at the intersection of design, engineering, and product. My work is not just about how something looks. It is about how it holds together when multiple teams are shipping against it.

Background

For four years at UnitedHealthcare I worked across the full product lifecycle. UX strategy, discovery, prototyping, and shipping accessible, consistent interfaces across multiple enterprise product teams.

A big part of that work was scaling the design system from something one team used to something the whole org relied on. That meant building documentation, establishing engineering handoff processes, leading a WCAG 2.1 AA compliance initiative, and working closely with accessibility teams to make good decisions stick.

I am currently finishing a Computer Science degree with a UX minor at DePaul, using coursework and side projects to stay hands-on with new front-end tech and push into more product design and leadership-oriented work.
